Hello, Im wondering if any of you kind wonderful people can help. I've opened up gINT (version v8) I have tried to produce a graph but the following error message is displayed: POBS: gINT Rules proceedure 'Table_proceedures:pobs_after_save' not found in current library what does this mean? Previously when a graph could not be produced it was because the connection between the stored library files was broken, but this time gINT lets me open up any file and appears to still be pointing to the right files/data as all the data is visible in the input section, however when I add a new value to the data set, gINT does not automatically do the calculations any more, when the output tab is then selected a blank page appears saying in the current library, there are no items in this application Can anyone help, Im at a loss as to why this is suddenly no longer working. Many thanks in advance Una

Forum Post: RE: All links to files seem broken but file data still visible in input ???
Hello Una, It sounds like you inadvertently opened the wrong library file. Both the missing gINT Rules and the "no items in this application" messages point to that. gINT Rules and report templates are stored in the library (as are symbols, and 99% of lookup lists). With the wrong library you would still see all your Input data. To see all the library files that have been opened on your computer, go to File Library List. If you like, I'd be more than happy to help with this.

Wiki Page: Which gINT product(s) do we need to download and install? What operating systems are supported?
Applies To Product(s): gINT Logs, gINT Professional, gINT Professional Plus Version(s): V8i and later Environment: N/A Area: Installation Subarea: N/A Original Author: Kathleen Holcomb, Bentley Technical Support Group Should we select the installer listed under gINT Logs, gINT Professional or gINT Professional Plus? There is just one installer that installs all the gINT products: Logs, Professional and Professional Plus. During the installation process select the correct gINT product according to the license you have purchased. What operating systems can we install gINT on? On the Downloads page, to view the operating systems certified for gINT click on gINT (Logs, Professional, Professional Plus, CLT) (English) x86 for the desired version. Do we need to install the dependencies? No, the dependencies are optional. Bentley View is a DGN and DXF viewer. The i-model Publishing Engine allows for the creation of 3D borehole cylinder i-models. The prerequisites are required only if you are installing Bentley View and/or the i-model Publishing Engine. What is the AGS Toolkit? The AGS Toolkit validates AGS 3.1 and AGS 4 files, and enables the import and export of AGS files using Microsoft Excel. AGS is a file format for exchanging data electronically. It is used primarily in the UK and a few other areas of the world. More information about this format can be found on http://www.ags.org.uk . What is gINT CLT? The gINT Contaminated Land Tool is designed to manage and report on contaminants. It is used primarily in the UK but is equally applicable to other countries’ environmental standards/guidelines. It is now included in the gINT installer.

Wiki Page: Licensing and Activating gINT When the 30 Day Trial has Ended
Applies To Product(s): gINT Logs, gINT Professional, gINT Professional Plus Version(s): 8.x Environment: N\A Area: Licensing - Technical Subarea: N\A Original Author: Tyler S. Queen and Kathleen Holcomb, Bentley Technical Support Group Problem Description How do I license my gINT Logs or Professional Plus when the 30 day trial for gINT Professional has expired? I go through the activation process and it says "your product is ready for use" but it goes back into Disabled Mode. Steps to Resolve The product to be licensed is determined at the time of installation. The installation defaults to gINT Professional. There is no shortcut to start Logs vs. Professional vs. Professional Plus. If you can open gINT, select "Launch Logs” or "Launch Professional Plus" from the Help menu. If the 30 day trial has ended and you are in Disconnected mode Loop If you go past 30 day trial and are in Disconnected mode, the product will not start. It puts you in an endless loop of activating the product and not being able to start it because it doesn't have the correct licensing. This is caused by not picking the right product during installation, and then not correcting it within the 30 days of the trial. The fix for this involves the gINT License Manager. This program can be found here: C:\Program Files\Bentley\gINT V8i\bin\gintlicman.exe or C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\gINT V8i\bin\gintlicman.exe. Once this is run, you will then be able to select the proper program (gINT Professional,gINT Professional Plus, gINT Logs). After selecting the proper program you will be able to run the program. If the gINT License Manager is missing from the Bin folder please contact gINT Technical Support.

Wiki Page: How do I change from gINT Professional to gINT Logs or gINT Professional Plus? The Fences and Graph tabs are missing. How do I restore them?
Applies To Product(s): gINT Logs, gINT Professional, gINT Professional Plus Version(s): N\A Environment: N\A Area: Licensing - Technical Subarea: N\A Original Authors: Kathleen Holcomb, Bentley Technical Support Group and Katie Aguilar, Product Specialist How do I switch to gINT Logs, gINT Professional or gINT Professional Plus? The product to be licensed is determined during the installation, which defaults to gINT Professional. There is no shortcut to start Logs vs. Professional vs. Professional Plus. To change from one product to another go to Help and select the desired product. gINT will close. On reopening, it will launch as the desired product. When I go to Output, I no longer see the option for Fences, Graphs, Graphic Text Docs, etc. How do I get these report options back? Output looks like this: When gINT Logs is the selected product only the Logs option will show under the Output tab. You need to select either gINT Professional or gINT Professional Plus, depending on which type of license you purchased. Follow the steps above to select the correct product. On reopening gINT, you will see all the report options under Output: See Also Licensing and Activating gINT When the 30 Day Trial has Ended

Wiki Page: Using ProjectWise Spatial with gINT
Applies To Product(s): gINT Professional Plus Version(s): V8i SELECTseries 2 Environment: N\A Area: Report-Log Subarea: N\A Original Author: Kathleen Holcomb, Bentley Technical Support Group Background ProjectWise Spatial provides the ability to embed WGS84 latitude and longitude information in a PDF log report and store the resulting gINT spatial document (geocoded PDF) in ProjectWise. This allows the boreholes to appear on a ProjectWise Spatial map automatically. Steps to Accomplish Requirements on the gINT side: Must be licensed for gINT Professional Plus. The gINT coordinate support must be turned on for the project (.GPJ) or Enterprise database that is being used. ProjectWise support must be turned on. Go to File System Properties dialog under the "General" tab. The "Suppress ProjectWise" check box must be unmarked. Works only in the Output Logs application. Works only with export to PDF. PointIDs must have values in the GintCoordinateLatitude and GintCoordinateLongitude fields (usually captioned as WGS84 Latitude and WGS84 Longitude). Export path must pointing to a ProjectWise folder. The "Each dataset to individual file" option must be marked. Requirements on the ProjectWise side: Must have the Spatial option. Wiki Page: Integrate gINT with ProjectWise
Applies To Product(s): gINT Logs, gINT Professional, gINT Professional Plus Version(s): v8i and later Environment: N/A Area: Data Entry Subarea: Original Author: Henrik Pahl, COWI Kathleen Holcomb, Bentley Technical Support Group Bentley’s ProjectWise is an engineering project team collaboration system that is an integrated solution for content management, content publishing, design review, and asset lifecycle management. gINT supports ProjectWise in all its file open and save as operations, except for files specific to an individual user (setup.gsh, personal dictionary, etc.). This allows files used by gINT and exported from gINT to be stored in managed ProjectWise repositories instead of on a computer or network drive. The only requirement to use ProjectWise with gINT is a copy of ProjectWise on your system. The project file (.gpj) and library file (.glb) are uploaded to ProjectWise by a simple copy. How to Integrate gINT with ProjectWise Do not open the gINT project file or library from the location in ProjectWise. It is not necessary to open ProjectWise Explorer at all to carry out the methodology below, or when working in gINT through ProjectWise. For each file open or file save as operation a ProjectWise dialog will first appear. If you wish to open a file on your computer or network, or to save to your computer or network, click the Cancel button. The usual Windows file open or save as dialog will appear. When working with a ProjectWise file, you are working with a copy on your local system. The file will be saved back to ProjectWise either when the operation is completed (e.g., edit scripts) or when the program is closed (e.g, gINT project files or libraries). The reason for the difference in behavior is speed. Depending on the location of your ProjectWise server and your connection speed, it can take a significant amount of time to save and retrieve a large project, whereas scripts are usually small. The program distinguishes between these two types of files and handles them appropriately. Open the gINT Project in ProjectWise: Open gINT as normal from the Start Menu on the computer. Choose File System Properties General and untick Suppress ProjectWise : Press OK . The ProjectWise Log In dialog will appear: Tick Use Windows Single Sign-On for authentication and Remember me (use auto-login next time) . Click Log in : Choose File Open Project . The Choose A Database dialog will appear: Choose the relevant ProjectWise folder under Folder and the relevant project file (.gpj) in the Document window (link can be copied directly from ProjectWise). Press Open . The gINT project is now loaded from ProjectWise. In ProjectWise it will have a red check mark next to it to show that it is checked out. Open the gINT Library in ProjectWise: Open File Change Library The "Select gINT V8i Library" window will appear: Choose the relevant ProjectWise folder under Folder and the relevant library file (.glb) in the Document window (link can be copied directly from ProjectWise). Press Open . gINT is now ready to use as you normally would. When finished, simply close gINT. Depending on how ProjectWise is set up for your organization, you may or may not see the Check In dialog: + If you do get the Check In dialog, click the Check In button. + If you do not see the dialog, then Check In will happen automatically. Either way, your work is hereby saved back to ProjectWise. The next time you open gINT, you will only have to select the project in the Choose A Database dialog. gINT will automatically open the library from ProjectWise. Applies To Product(s): gINT Professional Plus Version(s): V8i SELECTseries 1 and later Environment: N\A Area: Data Entry Subarea: N\A Original Author: Kathleen Holcomb, Bentley Technical Support Group and Katie Aguilar, Product Specialist gINT Coordinate Conversion provides capabilities to convert between projected (east/north) to geographic (longitude/latitude) coordinates. The gINT Professional Plus license includes a coordinate conversion library. This facility allows automatic conversion between different coordinate systems. This is the same library that is shipped with other coordinate aware Bentley products (MicroStation, InRoads, Bentley Map, etc.). This allows your gINT Professional Plus .GPJ or enterprise project to interact with ArcGIS, Google Earth and Bentley GeoWeb Publisher, among other geo applications. Will gINT automatically convert northing and easting to latitude and longitude, and vice versa? XXXXXXX(Answer 1)XXXXXXX How do we add coordinate conversion to an existing project file? I don't want to turn on gINT's Coordinate Conversion. Is there another way to use it? With Pro Plus, do we have to use gINT's Coordinate Conversion? No, you do not have to turn it on. We use a coordinate system that is not in the coordinate library. Is there a way to add it? Wiki Page: Showing associated borehole data on log report -IN PROGRESS
Applies To Product(s): gINT Logs, Professional Version(s): Version 8 and later Environment: N/A Area: Report-Log Subarea: Original Author: Kirk Johnson, Bentley Technical Support Group I would like to show data from an associated borehole on the same log report is it possible? Background This property was mainly developed to support the creation of log forms that print CPT data along with material description, material graphics, water levels, SPT plots, lab results, etc. from adjacent, sampled boreholes. Use the foreign pointID property in All entities (Log reports only) - configuration Steps to Accomplish Add a field to one of the tables in your project database, such as the Point (Borehole) table or CPT table. Open your project In the Point (Borehole) table... goto tables menu..add field .Call the field something like Sampled Borehole Associated with CPT or whatever makes sense for your reporting purposes. 3. Open the log report you want to edit in Report Design 4. Double Click on the entities(columns) you want to associate and goto the configuration tab. For example the material description column, material graphics column, water levels, SPT plots, lab results, etc. In the Foreign PointID Expression box reference the TABLE.Field you created in your project IE POINT.Sampled Borehole Associated with CPT . You will need to do this on each entity you want to associate with a different borehole than the one you are outputting. This property would be left blank on entities you are not associating. For example the Cpt plot columns Because they are coming from the point ID you are outputting. You can also get more elaborate and come up with an expression that will include different criteria. But, it can also just be a simple reference to a field in your project database. Yes I've developed both VB and Powershell scripts, but you'll understand that because they can save clients considerable amounts of time and money they are of commercial value, so I don't want to share them. All the info is out there on the web, just not in one place.

How do I update our address on our reports? Steps to Accomplish Company name and address saved in the settings file (setup.gsh) on each PC This will be the most likely scenario. Go to Help Company Information . A Company Information dialog will open where you can change the address. Repeat this for each installation of gINT. Company name and address entered on the report In Report Design , if your company name and address appear next to a little box, it is probably entered right on the report. Double-click on the little box to open the text entity.
