How can I create a bar in my core log that shows the RQD per meter? Under INPUT->Main group->Rock components I can add layer RQD, but not per meter (unless I change the layer thickness so that each layer is 1m). Under INPUT->Main group->Sample there is a column called RQD Length, but that seems to give me the accumulated RQD. Do I have to add a column on my own or is there one for this purpose (RQD/m)?

Hi Mikaela, The question you are asking is specific to the file set you are using and not the program. Based on this question and some of your other questions you may not be using the best file set for your reporting needs. It sounds like you are using the standard files for the US market . Are you located in the US or another country? Do you work in Imperial or Metric units? There are different file sets you can choose at the time of installation or you can reinstall and pick other file sets. If you e-mail me at kirk.johnson@bentley.com with your contact information, I would be more than happy to call you. If you have an example of what you want your output to look like then e-mail me an example.There are many standard file sets you can choose from. You can edit the existing file set you are using . You would need to add a new table or new field to that file set in order to record the information at each meter increment an then create a bar graph column on the report, but I think a different file set would be a better place to start . Szang, I have been playing around with the code that you gave me and was able to achieve the desired result to capitalize the first letter of every line; however, I have a hanging comma issue. Specifically, if there are no additional comments other than a material description, a comma still prints. I have included my edited code below. The preferred way to do this is with the ListBuildSepTrim command I described previously. This gets rid of all the HasData functions and avoids double commas and leading and trailing commas. Working with what you have got, it is best to be consistent and always include the necessary separating punctuation as part of the data that will follow (ie PRECEDING the data). That way, if there is no data, the separating punctuation does not print. You started doing this with the "color" and "desc" variables but then abandoned it when you assembled the final description. In fact you ended up removing the leading coma from the "desc" variable. I would sugest the following revisions to your final code ( identified by bold italics underline ). I did not change your code, only commented on what should be changed >,_ " >,"_ Delete the trailing comma from this line )>>_ >,_ >,2)>> Remove the Mid command from this line to get the leading comma back )>>_ )>>_ It seems like this closing parenthesis is in the wrong place... Hi Mikaela, As we discussed I sent you a standard file set designed in metric. I believe the following file set will be a much better starting point for the types of reports you want to create in gINT, instead of the files designed for use in the United States.. You may still need to modify them, but they are already designed in Metric units and have a place to enter some of the rock information that you wanted to show on the reports.

The Association of Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Specialists Data Interchange Format (commonly known as the AGS specification) is a set of rules for the electronic transfer of subsurface investigation data. It was developed in the United Kingdom in 1991 and has been adopted in a number of countries. More information about this format can be found on the AGS Web site (www.ags.org.uk) . gINT fully supports versions 3 and 3.1 of the specification. The files available for download below contain the necessary support files and extensive documentation on their use. In addition, we have included 20 report-quality forms that work with the AGS data structures. These reports include logs, a fence diagram, graphs, a histogram, a graphic table, a text table, a graphic text document, and a text document. Besides the files downloaded here, you will also need gINT version 8 or later. I have a graphic text document set up to display lab data results as a list. The code that I am using to display the current list is sorting alpha-numerically, using the code below: ANALYTES: >,_ Select [ENVIRO NORMALIZED DATA].[ItemKey]_ From [ENVIRO NORMALIZED DATA] _ Where [ENVIRO NORMALIZED DATA].[PointID] = ' >' _ AND [ENVIRO NORMALIZED DATA].[Depth] = > Order By [ENVIRO NORMALIZED DATA].[ItemKey];_ )>> In the code above, [ENVIRO NORMALIZED DATA].[ItemKey], ItemKey refers to a library table Lookup of the Library Table called Analytes. Where, [ENVIRO NORMALIZED DATA].[ItemKey] is the same as the Library Table field [Analytes.Code]. Each Code is assigned to a Group [Analytes.Group] (i.e. TIC, TPH, VOC). I would like to first sort the data listed on the graphic text document by [Analytes.Group] and then by the [ENVIRO NORMALIZED DATA].[ItemKey]. I tried to write the following sorting statement (un-bolded text below), but I'm not sure of how to link it to the Order By statement. the [Analytes] table needs to be joined, and then you can order by a field. This is a similar example. select [POINT].[Type],[DG_COM_HOLE_TYPE].[Code],[DG_COM_HOLE_TYPE].[Description] from [POINT] inner join [ >].[DG_COM_HOLE_TYPE] on [POINT].[Type] = [DG_COM_HOLE_TYPE].[Code] order by [DG_COM_HOLE_TYPE].[Description] I used this reference stackoverflow.com/.../inner-join-across-multiple-access-dbs
