I make a borehole log according to a customized format which we already use in our company. Now this is missing to list.

Hi, The gINT reports are stored in the library file. Most likely you opened a different library file. If this is on the same machine as the one you previously created the report then check by going to FIle...library list ..if you have more than one then check one of the other files. If this is on a different machine you will need to either copy the library from another machine or point to the file on the server location. You can do this by going to file..change library and browsing to it.

Forum Post: Exporting Issues

Hello, I'm trying to export a subset of 29 report logs of a probably 50 drill hole database. When I export, I want the PDF to go to an individual file and I know how to do that in output. I'm having two issues: 1) about 75% of the time, when I try to export the 29 logs, it will only actually print a percentage of the selected drill holes. I.E., it may only print 15, sometimes only 10. If I redo the export, sometimes it will print a few more, sometimes not. I have tried restarting the program and my computer, and this occasionally works, but not always. I will typically have to print the remainder of the logs individually to get everything I need. 2) When I go through the effort of printing all of the drill logs, occasionally (~10% of the time) the logo will not show up on one of the pages of a random log. RePDFing/exporting typically works ok and it is not a huge deal for this particular project, but on a larger site with 100s of drill holes, I don't want to spend the effort of going through each individual log just to make sure a logo is showing up. Any thoughts? Thanks, Sam

Hi Sam, verify you are using the latest update. Then contact me at kirk.johnson@Bentley.com and I can give you a call so we can troubleshoot this intermittent issue.

I would also recommend the following print setting. In file system properties .. goto output tab in the default print management options select ...print as data sets are completed. See if that helps. I recall a windows update in the past that cause an issue similar to yours.

Is there a pop up that should appear?

Hi Zack, Yes based on my browser security settings I usually get a show all content pop up and then a pop up that allows me to save ..see screen shot. I tried this just now. I suspect it is a browser issue or you companies security settings. I recommend using internet explorer.

If I have already created a fence report, added polylines to interpret geology etc. and saved the drawing (.gdw), can I add new drillholes/data as they come? Or do I have to re-generate a new report and redraw all new polylines, entities etc. just to keep adding new drillholes/data? Cheers.

Forum Post: Creating Site Maps

Hello, I have a large database (700+ drill holes) and would like to export a site map in .dxf format that shows filtered drill hole locations (i.e. only auger-drilled holes vs. all other methods). I have the SQL code to where it will list these in a query (under input>site map), I just can't figure out how to get only those locations to plot on a map. When I navigate to Output>site map, I get a message that in the current library, there are no items in this application. Would someone be able to provide insight on how to do this? Thanks in advance! Sam

Hi Sam, There are multiple ways you could do this. I think the simplest thought is just to use a filter at output time. This assumes you have a method or drill method field in you point table with this information recorded. in output ..site maps go down to the filter section and write a filter. see screen shot.

Hi David - thanks for the reply. I assumed it was something like this. The problem for me is that when I navigate to output>site maps, the only thing that appears is a message reading "In the current library, there are no items in this application". The filter section you show doesn't appear for me.

That probably just means you don't have any site map reports in your library. If you have a copy of one of the standard libraries, you can merge in one from there for example the gINT standard Us lab library . Just open your library ..got to utilities..lib merge copy ..choose merge from and browse to the standard library .. pick site map report only to merge and merge it in . you might want to choose select non duplicate so you don't accidentaly overwrite any other reports.. All standard libraries can be found here.

Can output>site maps be set to export to original coordinates in a .dxf?

Forum Post: Consolidation Test

I have been working with gINT for a few months now and am pretty familiar with the coding for Boring logs and changing the report design. However, currently some of our lab tests are being entered into another software and I am trying to get everything into gINT to hopefully make things a little easier. For consolidation, our firm shows the percent strain graph (which gINT already has a template for). I am wanting to add a graph that plots the Cv values vs. the applied pressure. In the data input area, it has spots for these values, I just don't know how to get it to output a graph of it. If possible I would like to put this Cv graph on the same report page as the regular consolidation graph. Thanks!
