HI Aparna, Thanks for you information. I have followed exactly the same way as described in the help menu. But not sure why the Data frame dose not plot after 250 m along the base line.

Please send us your gINT files so we can look at all of the properties set on the report. I would like a library and an example project so I can easily output the report. My e-mail is kirk.johnson@Bentley.com

Hello Ilia, Logs have feature where you can set the Depth Per Page that you want to display. This feature is not available in Fences. In fence however, you can create a baseline with and have the set/selected boreholes to display. To do this you have to be in your Output tab>Fences>Site Layout. Once Site layout View is displayed, click on Fence Spec>Draw Baseline. Select the boreholes you want to display at once. Click on Return to Output tab on top left. You can either preview or export them as a PDF.

Thanks a lot. I drew a baseline the way you explained. But the problem is gINT displays the entire baseline on the fence. If I have a stretch of 3 km and 50 BH and want to display 5 BH a fence. gINT displays a stretch of 3 km with these 5 BH "squeezed" in the middle. Is there an option in gINT to "space these boreholes wider" without compromising the original baseline?

There is a property called 'Equally space points along distance axis'. Try to toggle this property on. It only applies to two dimensional views

Forum Post: Is there a way to assign fill types or symbols for Graphic Column entities other than by having the Fill Type[!Symbol] property be based on a value from a single field?

I have a table for Discontinuities, and in that table there are fields for >, >, >, >, >, >, etc. I understand that I can set up a > field, and then have the Fill Type[!Symbol] on a Graphic Column entity be based on the entry in that field or I can have that field be used in a lookup to find a corresponding graphic in a graphic table. I also understand that a text table can be created, based on a query of >, filtered by the other fields. Can I then assign graphics based on the query results in the text table , and have those assigned graphics be used by a Graphic Column entity on a log or fence report? e.g. In the Text Table results of the > query, only the following discontinuity types are present in a series of borings: Fracture, Joint, Mechanical Fracture, Broken Zone If I only want to plot only discontinuities meeting the following criteria: > "=Fracture", >">30", > "=planer", > "=slickensided", > "Not=filled") Can a graphic be assigned to display a symbol for that combination of fields and values only?

You can have an expression, as long as it returns e.g. Gnrl!Name. It is easier to write long expressions as a User System Data (USD). I've seen the use of a line vs depth rather then a graphic column to represent defects. The line can be angled and have different colour a type for various defect types.

Plotting discontinuity data is usually done with either a line entity as Phil discussed or with a discrete graphic vs depth entity. The "filter" criteria you expressed in your post is entered as a logical statement using the "and" operator in the Output condition property of the Configuration tab in the entity. This can either be a fixed criteria so that it will always filter and output only those discontinuities that meet the criteria, a criteria that is specified at print time using print time variables, or a criteria specified by a field in a data table. You can have more than one entity in the column that displays different graphics for different discontinuity "filter" criteria or write a statement that selects the discrete graphic based on one or more of your discontinuity fields. Note either the line entity or discrete graphic entity can be added to the material graphic column and set so it prints on top of the material graphic by using the plot order property. You do not need a separate column.

Hello everyone, I am compiling a text report (under "Text Docs") in gINT. All my soil types are standardized and can be identified let's say by a variable called >. How can I make gINT to list all the unique entries of this variable? Is that also possible to make gINT calculate minimum and maximum thickness for each type of variable? Sorry for my English ... I hope I didn't confuse you. Thank you in advance, Ilia

Hello, I have the same question and I used the Canadian files. It does use SI units when you log all your data, but when you need to generate the report, all the leyends say "feet, inches, etc.". It would be very helpful if you could help me with this. Thank you!

Hello Silvia, Under the Input tab, the standard Canadian files have the Units set to Meters, Inches. When outputing the reports using standard Canadian library, all the legends do show same units - metric, inches. Have you changed their labeling in the Report Design? The standard report using Canadian project and Library looks like this

Hello Aparna, I did not change it because I couldn't do it. This is how my reports look like, using the Canadian files. (Please visit the site to view this file)

Seems like your report design text expressions for ground elevations and Hole size are set to show in inches. If you like, you can email me your Project file and your library file to check. aparna.matange@Bentley.com
